LEARN THE BROADWAY EXPERIENCES FROM BROADWAY PROFESSIONALS
Southport Studio Theatre (SST) and Broadway Bootcamp are the brainchildren of local Broadway professionals, Frank Root and Marianne Challis. Frank & Marianne bring their own passion and talent to local students in varied settings throughout the year.
During the school year, small group acting workshops are offered, with emphasis on improve, character emotion, vocal coaching and scene work. Each workshop culminate in a performance at the end of the semester.
During the summer, SST offers two sessions of their imminently popular program: Broadway Bootcamp (BBC). Two three week sessions are offered, late June-July and August. Each session produces a different musical, that is performed at a local theatrical venue.
